CUCC actively participates in events dedicated to rebuilding of Ukraine. Yuriy Kryvosheya, Vice-President of the CUCC, and Emma Turos, Managing Director for Ukraine had a pleasure of attending the Canada-Ukraine Agri Forum 2023, organized by the Embassy of Canada to Ukraine on March 1, 2023, in Kyiv. Participants had an opportunity to learn about:
- Updates on Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement
- Challenges and opportunities in Ukraine’s agricultural sector
- Financial instruments for support of agricultural and retail sectors from Export Development Canada
- Canadian expertise in agricultural machinery from Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership
Panel discussions welcomed representatives of Ukrainian agricultural and retail companies to talk about how the war changed the geography and structure of import, as well as to share their views on future process of recovery of the agricultural sector of Ukraine.
Canada and Ukraine will continue to work together towards strengthening their bilateral trade relations regardless of the challenges that temporarily exist due to russia’s on-going war against Ukraine.
