On July 3rd, Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce (CUCC) President Zenon Potichny and CUCC Vice President in Ukraine Yuriy Kryvosheya had the distinct honour of attending the Canada Day celebration in Kyiv, hosted by the Embassy of Canada to Ukraine at the historic Mystetskyi Arsenal.
The event brought together members of the diplomatic community, government officials, Canadian and Ukrainian business leaders, and civil society partners in a beautiful and heartfelt celebration of Canadian values, culture, and enduring friendship. It was a powerful reminder of the deep bond between Canada and Ukraine—one rooted in shared democratic principles and strengthened in times of challenge.
Held in the heart of Ukraine’s capital, the celebration was not only an occasion to mark Canada’s national holiday, but also an important symbol of solidarity. Despite Russia’s ongoing war of aggression, the Canadian presence in Ukraine remains strong and steadfast. The continued work of Canadian institutions, businesses, and individuals in Ukraine sends a clear message: Canada stands firmly with the Ukrainian people.
Representing CUCC, President Potichny and Vice President Kryvosheya were proud to join the celebration and reaffirm the Chamber’s commitment to fostering meaningful economic and business ties between our two nations. CUCC remains dedicated to supporting Ukraine’s recovery and encouraging Canadian businesses to take an active role in rebuilding Ukraine’s future.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ambassador Natalka Cmoc, Peter Cahill, and the entire team at the Embassy of Canada for organizing such a meaningful and inspiring celebration. Your leadership and dedication are a testament to Canada’s unwavering support for Ukraine—and a source of strength and encouragement for all those committed to Ukraine’s freedom and prosperity.
As CUCC continues its work on the ground in both countries, we are reminded that true partnership means standing together in the most difficult moments. Canada and Ukraine are stronger together.
