On May 6, CUCC Vice President Mark Vytvytskyy had the pleasure of moderating the Ukrainian Business Meetup panel discussion in Toronto, bringing together Ukrainian entrepreneurs, business professionals, and community leaders for an evening of practical insight and meaningful connection.

The event was organized by the Ukrainian Business Network in Canada with the support of UCPBA Toronto and BCU Financial Group, and took place at the historic Old Mill Toronto.

The panel featured a diverse group of experts with experience across business ownership, law, finance, credit, and accounting. Speakers included CUCC Board Member Katherine Vellinga, Founder and CEO of Zirkova; CUCC member Anna Kuprieieva, Partner at Solvis Law; Smita C., Vice President of Commercial Credit at BCU Financial; and Lidiya Tvorysh, CPA, Partner at Trorysh CPA.

Together, the panelists shared valuable guidance on establishing, financing, and growing a business in Canada. The discussion offered practical advice for Ukrainian entrepreneurs navigating the Canadian business landscape, including insights into legal structures, access to financing, commercial credit, accounting considerations, and strategies for long-term growth.

For many newcomers and business owners in the Ukrainian Canadian community, the event provided an opportunity not only to learn from experienced professionals, but also to connect with peers who are building, expanding, or exploring new ventures in Canada.

The strong turnout reflected the growing energy and ambition within the Ukrainian entrepreneurial community in Toronto. It was wonderful to see so many Ukrainian entrepreneurs, CUCC members, and business leaders come together for an engaging and informative evening.

CUCC is pleased to support initiatives that strengthen Ukrainian Canadian business connections and help entrepreneurs succeed in the Canadian market. Events like the Ukrainian Business Meetup play an important role in fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and building a stronger business community.
