Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce (CUCC) was proud to co-organize a high-level Roundtable with the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, in collaboration with the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada, Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), and Export Development Canada (EDC).
Hosted by EDC at their Toronto headquarters, the event brought together leaders from government, business, and finance to discuss Ukraine’s energy reconstruction and identify new opportunities for collaboration between Canada and Ukraine.
We were honoured to welcome Svitlana Grynchuk, Minister of Energy of Ukraine, and Olha Yukhymchuk, Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, alongside Michael Vandergrift, Deputy Minister at NRCan, and Steven Richards, Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer at EDC.
The roundtable highlighted how Canadian expertise in oil and gas, renewable energy, and nuclear safety can support Ukraine’s recovery and modernization. Participants explored investment opportunities, technology partnerships, and public-private cooperation strategies to advance a resilient and sustainable energy future.
A heartfelt thank-you to EDC for hosting this important discussion, and to all our distinguished participants — including Roman Dubczak, Ambassador Andrii Plakhotniuk, Francis Bradley, Kim Lauritsen, Frank Des Rosiers, and many others — for their valuable insights and commitment.
Together, we are strengthening energy partnerships and building a resilient future for Ukraine.
