On November 26th, Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce, together with the Embassy of Canada to Ukraine and CEO Club Ukraine, proudly co-organized a high-level roundtable featuring Chrystia Freeland, Canada’s Special Representative for the Reconstruction of Ukraine.
The closed-door session brought together approximately 15 CEOs and respected business leaders for an open, honest, and forward-looking discussion on the realities facing companies operating in Ukraine today. Participants engaged in a meaningful exchange on the challenges on the ground, the emerging opportunities for growth, and the practical needs essential to driving Ukraine’s long-term reconstruction and modernization.
The conversation underscored the importance of clear policy pathways, sustained international cooperation, and a strong private-sector role in rebuilding Ukraine’s economy. Leaders shared firsthand insights on navigating wartime conditions, maintaining operations, investing in resilience, and identifying strategic sectors poised for development.
We extend our warm gratitude to Ambassador Natalka Cmoc and Yuriy Kryvosheya—President of PJSC Toronto-Kyiv, Vice President of CUCC, and Member of CEO Club—for skillfully co-moderating the conversation and fostering an environment that encouraged thoughtful dialogue and collaborative problem-solving.
At CUCC, we believe that progress is built through partnership, trust, and shared purpose. Yesterday’s roundtable embodied that spirit, demonstrating once again how collective leadership can accelerate Ukraine’s reconstruction and support a stronger economic future.
As Ukraine continues on its path toward recovery, CUCC remains committed to convening voices, strengthening networks, and championing meaningful engagement between Canadian and Ukrainian businesses.
