On April 10th, the Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce (CUCC), in collaboration with the Embassy of Canada to Ukraine and in partnership with BDO in Ukraine, proudly hosted a highly informative and engaging webinar titled “Ukrainian Public Procurement Tools – Gateway to Reconstruction Opportunities.”
This virtual session was designed to equip Canadian companies with the tools and knowledge needed to participate in Ukraine’s transparent public procurement system and contribute meaningfully to the country’s ongoing reconstruction and modernization efforts.
The event brought together an esteemed panel of speakers from government, business, and advisory sectors to share their expertise:

Zenon Potichny, President of CUCC, opened the session by introducing UCANPro, a platform developed by CUCC to help Canadian companies access public tenders in Ukraine more easily.

Peter Cahill, Counsellor & Senior Trade Commissioner at the Embassy of Canada to Ukraine, outlined the services offered by the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service to support Canadian businesses operating in or entering the Ukrainian market.

Mykola Tkachenko, Director General of Prozorro, provided a comprehensive overview of Ukraine’s award-winning public procurement platform, emphasizing its commitment to transparency and efficiency.

Oksana Lazareva, Public Procurement Manager at BDO Ukraine, delivered practical guidance on how non-residents can navigate the procurement system and shared tips for preparing competitive bids.

Alexandra Misiats from SDM Partners reviewed current procurement opportunities available on Prozorro and outlined the legal and procedural steps required for successful participation.

Matthew Devine, Chief Representative of Global Business Development at Export Development Canada (EDC), highlighted the financial instruments and risk mitigation solutions available to Canadian exporters seeking to engage in Ukraine’s recovery projects.
The discussion was expertly moderated by Mark Vytvytskyy, Vice President of Technology and Innovation at CUCC, who ensured a dynamic, focused, and highly informative session.
