CUCC Hosts 2024 Annual General Meeting: Reflecting on Progress and Shaping the Future

On March 27th, the Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce (CUCC) held its Annual General Meeting — an inspiring and forward-looking evening that brought together members, partners, and friends of CUCC to celebrate our collective achievements and renew our shared commitment to fostering Canada-Ukraine business relations.

This year’s AGM provided a valuable opportunity for meaningful dialogue, strategic networking, and reflection on the past year’s milestones. It was also a moment to reaffirm our vision for the year ahead — one grounded in resilience, recovery, and continued collaboration to support Ukraine’s economic growth.

We were honoured to welcome an outstanding lineup of speakers whose perspectives underscored the importance of international cooperation and steadfast support for Ukraine:

  • H.E. Yuliya Kovaliv, Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada, for her continued leadership and strong advocacy in strengthening bilateral ties.
  • Senator Stan Kutcher, a tireless supporter of Ukraine, for his dedication to democratic values and human rights.
  • Roman Dubczak, Canada’s Representative to the Business Advisory Council under the Ukraine Donor Platform, for sharing critical insights into global coordination efforts for Ukraine’s recovery.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Roman Shimonov and John W. Moskalyk on their re-election to the CUCC Board of Directors. Their continued leadership and expertise remain invaluable to our organization’s mission and growth.

A special thank you goes to Board Member Katherine Vellinga for her compelling presentation of the Make Russia Pay initiative — a crucial effort in pursuit of justice and restitution. We are also deeply grateful to Taras Hetmanczuk, who expertly chaired the meeting and led the evening’s dynamic agenda with clarity and focus.

Most importantly, we thank all our members, stakeholders, and friends for your ongoing support. It is your dedication that empowers CUCC to serve as a vital bridge between Canadian and Ukrainian businesses.

As we look ahead, we do so with a renewed sense of purpose and partnership. Together, we will continue driving meaningful change and building a resilient, prosperous future for Ukraine — through Canadian cooperation, innovation, and investment.

Thank you for being part of our journey.
